PHYSIOTHERAPY
When you first see a physiotherapist, they will take a detailed history of your concerns and perform a thorough physical examination in order to reach an accurate working diagnosis. They will then work with you on establishing a clear plan to tackle your specific needs by setting goals and time scales. The appropriate course of treatment may include some hands-on work like manual therapy and/or a detailed exercise plan. Adjuncts can be used such as electrotherapy, taping or acupuncture and cross teamwork may be suggested if someone with a more specialist set of skills may be of further help, for example a podiatrist, soft tissue therapist, pilates instructor or nutritionist.
