First visit

Before your appointment

Please see our COVID-19 page for latest updates on changes on appointments and protocols.

If for any reason you are running late for an appointment, please call us to let us know. Our cancellation policy is 24 hours notice, so if you are unable to make your appointment please call or email the day before to avoid incurring any cancellation charges.

Check the map before you leave to make sure you know where you are going and allow plenty of time if coming by public transport, or if you need to park nearby.

What to wear?

If you have a lower limb problem, please bring a pair of shorts with you as your physio will need to see your knee or ankle. Don't worry if you forget though, we have pairs that you can borrow. For other problem areas, wear something comfortable and easy to get in and out of, as your physiotherapist may need you to undress to allow them to assess or treat the area. If you are female and have a shoulder or neck problem, please bring a vest top for use in our gym area.

If you know that you are going to be working in the gym, bring a change of clothes with you and your trainers if you are having your running style assessed or doing one of our exercise classes.

Paying for treatment

Payment for each treatment is required at the end of each session. However, you can pay for treatment in advance if you wish to save time or on behalf of someone else (ie. a child). We accept credit and debit cards, but no longer accept American Express or cash payments. Please note that for all first time visits we would require 50% deposit at the time of booking. This is fully refundable if you provide 24 hours notice of cancellation.

Claiming through health insurance?

If you will be claiming treatment costs through health insurance, you will usually need to be referred by your GP or consultant. Please contact your insurance provider prior to starting treatment to check if you need to get a claim form and coverage details for your policy, as each policy is different. Please note that we can bill the following companies directly: Bupa and Bupa International, as long as you provide us with your policy number and in certain cases an authorisation or claim number.

If you are claiming from any other insurance provider you will need to pay us directly. We will provide you with receipts so that you can claim back the relevant amount from your insurer.

Please remember that your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance provider and that you are responsible for ensuring that any treatment sessions you claim for are covered under your scheme. Sprint Physiotherapy cannot be held responsible for any non payment of claims.
